Well, I had intended to post a new entry on this blog every
week or so but life has been BUSY BUSY,
in a good way though :)
I have continued to meet amazing people along the way and am
continually inspired by the generosity of others.
I met with the Community Relationships Manager from CanTeen
and loved her enthusiasm for our project and the support she was able to offer
to make some of the harder things a little easier was awesome. We then travelled to KeriKeri and met with
Deb and Tracey who are the best sounding boards and supporters any one could
hope for. We had a wonderful morning
with lots of giggles and planning.
When I began this journey I thought it was going to be hard
to get people to donate items for auction or to sponsor us. Deb assured me it wouldn’t be and she was
right! I have had so much success
because of the willingness of others to help.
I have cold called lots of businesses and there have been plenty keen to
help and not many have said no. You
will find all businesses who have supported us on our facebook page and I hope
you will support them as they have supported us. If you know of any businesses or individuals that would like to be involved please get them to contact me Email
And now on to the head shave! I have felt my first wee bit of trepidation
about the shave in the last week or so,
it was bought on when I saw a photo of a stunning lady with her head
shaved and I thought to myself “Bet I won’t look like that” . It has continued to niggle at me, even producing a few odd hairless
dreams! I am sure it will pass and I am
100% committed to organising this event with Deb and our support crew, shaving
my head and rocking it!
I will try and keep the blog posts more regular now but
things can get away on you sometimes!
Thanks for your support every one, we really do appreciate it all
